Fauquier Community Theatre
The Fauquier Community Theatre was founded in 1978 by dedicated volunteers who wished to bring Theatre to the area. Since then, it has been working flawlessly! FCT’s goal is to produce a diverse range of plays and musicals every year, and this includes both adults and children. Every year, at least one play is selected to provide young people with an opportunity to become involved in Theatre. Sometimes the community’s high school and college students work together to organize a summer performance. On Old Town Warrenton, we made our first home in an attic stage of a historic structure. For a long time, the Theatre was called “The Loft” home. The Vint Hill Theatre, on the grounds of the former Vint Hill Army Base in Warrenton, is now the home of FCT’s shows. FCT inherited the base’s former movie theatre when the military moved out decades ago. In order to create a place for a custom-built stage, seats were removed, and the theater’s technical facilities were renovated. The Vint Hill Theatre can accommodate small plays and huge musicals with its 200-person capacity, orchestra pit, and backstage amenities. Website
