Established in 2004, Serpent Ridge’s tasting room first opened for business in the spring of that year. As we started our adventure in our new vineyard home while retaining our corporate careers, a whole new way of life began to take shape. Karen earned a degree in winemaking from Penn State, while Hal completed his studies in vineyard management.
