Charm City Meadworks
Light, dry, and refreshing cocktails are our specialty at Charm City Meadworks. We think the key to getting the word out about mead is to start with a product that has people saying, “Wow, I want more!” after just one sip. Brewmasters at Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore’s Medfield neighborhood serve forth some of the Best Beer in the city, as well as some of the best people. Wet City
In what way is our town known as “Wet City”? Maryland was the only state that declined to enact an enforcement law to support federal prohibitions when the rest of the country turned dry during Prohibition. There were no consequences for drinking in Maryland regardless of federal and other state demands. Maryland became the wettest state in the country as a result of the Chesapeake Bay being the primary port of call for the nation’s bootleggers thanks to obstinate, free-thinking Maryland rule-breakers. While other states followed Baltimore’s lead and abolished Prohibition, the city’s residents continued to sell and consume alcoholic beverages until the country as a whole clung to our example. For us, Baltimore is more than just a place to call home; it’s a place with a rich history. Website
